I am an integrative therapist which means I tailor my approach to meet your unique needs; my main approach is Person-Centred Therapy but I also draw from Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Person-Centred Therapy is all about creating a safe, judgment-free space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings. For me, that means really making sure I understand and empathize with what you're going through. I genuinely believe that you're the expert on your own life and what's best for you.
CBT recognises that our thoughts, feelings and behaviours are linked and changing one can therefore influence the others. This therapy involves practical methods of helping you notice and change unhelpful thoughts and behaviours.
ACT focuses on learning to accept and look differently at challenging thoughts and feelings whilst committing to living life based on a clients values. This approach focuses on helping you live more in the present moment and develop psychological flexibility.
Solution-Focused Therapy champions the client as the expert on their own life. It's a collaborative approach where we focus on drawing upon your unique strengths and insights to explore what truly works for you, helping you identify practical steps to move forward toward your desired future.
