I've always been interested in Psychology and helping people from a young age. I graduated with a BSc in Psychology and during this period I was also volunteering for a mental health charity as a befriender. Like many, I have experienced some of my own mental health challenges throughout my life and these difficult periods sparked my passion for learning about mental health and what can help increase and sustain mental wellbeing.
Subsequently I undertook a certificate in counselling skills and then a Post Graduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling which I passed with a distinction level. I have experience counselling clients with a variety of issues over short-term and long-term periods both in charity and a private counselling environments. Alongside this I have worked in a mental health crisis service, supporting individuals experiencing crisis, suicidal ideation, long-term mental health issues and trauma.
I specialise in helping clients manage and overcome anxiety and overwhelming feelings and develop self-compassion.
